    Focusing on grammar classes that emphasize the accumulation of sentence patterns, students acquire the four language skills of speaking, listening, reading, and writing. Under the detailed guidance of experienced Japanese language instructors, students will carefully study basic sentence patterns and acquire advanced Japanese language skills with applied and practical skills.

In order to advance to a Japanese university, graduate school, vocational school, etc., students are required to get a high score on the EJU, and to have not only Japanese language ability but also the basic academic ability to study specialized fields at universities, etc. It is also necessary. In addition to regular Japanese classes, Osaka YWCA Vocational School offers classes for English, mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, and general subjects, and provides guidance for students aiming for a higher level.

This course is also ideal not only for the purpose of higher education, but also for those who are married to a Japanese person, or those who want to learn Japanese in order to live in Japan. (N5/N4/N3)
  • Understand basic sentence patterns and be able to read and write simple explanations, impressions, and opinions.
  • Become familiar with Japanese sounds and be able to make conversations and short speeches necessary for daily life. You will also be able to communicate using basic honorific language.
  • Able to read and write hiragana, katakana, and kanji (approximately 600 characters).
Intermediate
(N3/N2)
  • Build a foundation for reading long texts. You will be able to write sentences of around 600 to 800 characters based on a theme, as well as letters and emails at the level of everyday life.
  • Be able to have daily conversations using expressions appropriate to the situation. Interviews and discussions will also be possible. I can understand about 50% of TV dramas and news.
  • Master a vocabulary that includes around 1,000 kanji.
Advanced
(N1)
  • Can read general texts (newspapers, novels, reviews, etc.) while using a dictionary. Be able to write summaries of texts and reports.
  • You will master familiar conversational expressions and acquire conversational skills that will enable you to enter university or get a job. You can also have debates. I can almost understand TV dramas and news.
  • Able to read and write kanji and vocabulary at the same level as the average Japanese person (approximately 2,000 characters).
Superlative
(N1~)
  • Can read both general and specialized texts (newspapers, novels, reviews, etc.) without a dictionary. I can write a paper.
  • Can communicate in all aspects of life without problems using more appropriate expressions.
  • Acquire kanji and vocabulary skills that will be sufficient for university, graduate school, work, etc.
